You know the feeling, when you're doing your work (or anything else that you're forced to do unwillingly), and you wish so much to do something else fun like watching a movie online or sth?

Then one fine day, when you're finally free from all duties, and you waste all your time on MSN, facebook or maybe even TV.

So when the work comes flooding in again, you regret not watching the movies in your free time.

The vicious cycle repeats itself, and you never find inner peace.

How to counter this problem?

Get a To-Do list, and stick to it

I've been on a illegal music downloading frenzy recently thanks to Jethro Wang and his 4shared.com, and among all the album downloads, i'm especially happy with my metal downloads.

So the festive season is here again, nope, not jolly ol'Christmas, but CNY! and with that, comes goodies like bak kua, mandarin oranges and various CNY cookies.

I went CNY shopping with my parents the other day, and we bought a good kilogram worth of Mei Zhen Xiang bak kua. So i was eating a slice of bak kua just now, and i thought to myself:

Life is like a slice of bak kua. You never know when you're gonna bite the tough part.

Oh, and did i mention? I love Forest Gump. and no, HE'S NOT RETARDED. i think.

Today, while i was on the train to school, i happened to be listening to City and Colour. After a song or 2, i took out my mp3 player from my back pocket, and started playing Lamb of God.

Today was kinda awesome i would say.

Went for training despite my already screwed up knee, and i guess everything went out fine. No pain at all. Besides, we did not do any contact rugby. Played alot of touch rug with me scoring 2 tries *wriggles eyebrows* and having a hell of a time. Did some lineouts and scrums and stuff. Bryan and Syaffiq and made training super enjoyable with lots of laughter. And may i credit Amirah for her wonderful company to and fro training :D

It's training sessions like this that brighten up my day, and it's injuries like mine, that make a person appreciate running much more.

Today, as i was making my way to school, i found myself in a sardine-packed train to Dover. I was listening to some music on my MP3 player and everything seemed fine. All of a sudden, when the train made its scheduled stop at Clementi, i noticed something unpleasant..... Someone let out a silent...wet...choking...extra smelly fart...

Bet it was the tall indian man standing beside me...

It officially New Year's Day today, and i spent it sleeping at home. Just got back from Church camp this afternoon, and i guess it's just like any other camp, good and bad, but oh well, i had great fun anyways, haha.

Looking back at my 2008 new year's resolutions, i'm going to see how well/badly i've done in keeping 'em, and i'll come up with a new year's resolution for 2009.

Quoted from the blog post dated 2nd January 2008

  1. try my best to meet up with buddies and classmates as often as possible, be it for lunch, or simply just hang out.
  2. make a few new friends with a different me. i wanna appear in public with a different image now:D
  3. continue playing TheMafiaBoss.
  4. try to keep the lively side of me still intact when together with my buddies( i hope i dont change much over the years)
  5. grow a healthier relationship with God and making my walk with him stronger.

ok, so i've completed 2, 4 and 5. Sadly, 1 wasn't fulfilled, and 3 is ermm.... getting boring. So overall, not bad i guess.

Now, it's 2009 and it's definitely time to set my goals for the next 365 days of my life, so here goes:

  1. Study harder and not be lazy (sounds familiar)
  2. Get my bass by the end of the year (sounds very familiar)
  3. Keep in touch with GBS, BPC, fellow ruggers, guys in Hebron and hopefully, 4e5'07
  4. Continue playing rugby
  5. Continue loving and serving God
  6. Maintain strong family ties
  7. Be in good terms with my class in SP
Yea, nothing else i suppose, kinda satisfied with everything else.

Lastly, i would like to wish everyone reading, A very blessed and joyful 2009!
