Oh my gosh i feel like such a genius. I can't believe how smart I am. Here's the story:

Recently my dad decided to take back the Altec Lansing computer speakers I took from the desktop cuz he wanted to listen to some hokkien music -.- That being the case, I was left speaker-less and iTunes was nothing but an ordinary unused application on my desktop. Life was starting to get more and more meaningless - until today. I was tidying up my room and i stumbled upon my 3 year old guitar cable. Then I felt a bolt of smart-ness. I removed all the rubble from one quiet end of my room, and uncovered my abandoned guitar amp. Dammit, why didn't i think of it earlier?! i rummaged for a few more cable adaptors, and voila! sound! connected a few cables to a few machines, and i made magic. frickin' surround sound with amazing double bass effect please!!!

I guess when you anticipate too much of something, your expectations of it increases accordingly. And this will cause the actual event to be shitty if everything didn't go as expected - which is most likely to happen..

I learnt something else too.

Don't overeat at buffets..

okay, as some of you may already know, this whole week has been exam week for me, and lemme give you a brief description of how I feel everyday this whole week.

Sunday: "tmr's the first paper, I.T. is damn slack. study a bit can already la"
Monday(before the paper): "I dont think it'll be hard la, should be quite easy"
Monday(after the paper): "hurrrr, piece of cake."
Monday(reached home): "shit, advanced measurements is damn hard..die.."
Tuesday(before the paper): "Screwed.."
Tuesday(after the paper): "sigh.. get result then see how la"
Tuesday(reached home): " what the shit, tmr is contract admin.. got alot to read.."
Wednesday(before the paper): "Screwed.."
Wednesday(after the paper): "sigh..."
Wednesday(reached home): "my frickin brain is dried up, and i dont know how i'm going to last till fri night...."
Thursday(before the paper): "wonder if advanced construction will be tough.."
Thursday(after the paper): "ok la, manageable."
Thursday(reached home): "wa, tmr last paper, finally man..i think i enjoy a bit first la.."

and till now, i'm still enjoying myself, and naturally, worrying as well. whatever i've read for the past few hours, didn't really go into my head. i'm really distracted with other things such as: How am i going to enjoy my hols. i need discipline.

I caught the children's film "Matilda" earlier on Mio TV, and it is one of the best movies I've watched since frickin Forrest Gump. The lead actress who played Matilda, Mara Wilson (Now 23 years old) was so adorable then. But the thing that caught me stunned, was this:

The film is based on Roald Dahl's book "Matilda" and it revolves around how people should be strong to different crisis in our lives. Matilda is a strong willed person, standing up to challenges in her childhood including family rejection. She worked her way through the storm and ended up with everything she could ever ask for, a loving family.

but I did some homework on the film, and this was what i found out:

Wikipedia - Wilson's mother, Susan Shapiro, was from the Chicago suburb of Northbrook, Illinois, and was heavily involved in drama in high school; her mother died from breast cancer in 1996, when Mara was 9, during the filming of Matilda.[1] She first became interested in acting when she was four.

Guess sometimes, we complain about small little troubles in our lives and we go on to say stuff like "FML" while people are out there facing bigger problems and settling them with a brave stance. Although Mara Wilson may not have the same attitude as Matilda in the film, dealing with a problem in real life and acting in a fairytale film about something more or less similar to your dillemma at the very same time, doesn't make it easier at all.
